henry's first cubs outfit

it was a great day in the nardi household and for cub fans everywhere as Henry became the newest member of that faithful club. From this point on, baseball fandom won't be easy for young Finn, but he does join that elite cadre of fans who have for nearly a century clung optimistically to the idea that the promised land truly is waiting 'til next year. But, here we are in the dog days of the summer of '08, and our lovable losers stand as good a chance as ever to end all those years of futility. Perhaps Henry's birth will have coincided with the birth of a new era for the cubs in which the perpetual 'next year' is replaced with so many 'this years' so as to choke the flagpoles at wrigley with championship pennants.

of course, judging by henry's expression in some of these photos, one can only surmise that he is well aware of this past century of cub futility and in turn is none too pleased that his daddy doesn't bleed yankee pinstripes.

it should be noted that on both days in which henry donned his cubs onsey, they hoisted the "W" flag at wrigley.
